Despite late start, farmers optimistic about getting crops in for the season

Potatoes grown for the “fresh” or  “tablestock” market are abundant in the U.S. because of a large crop in 2017 in the Red River Valley of North Dakota and Minnesota, as well as a near-record crop from Florida.
